Barbara Yvonne Walker

Her Story

Barbara Walker was born March 3, 1937 in Sebring, Florida. She was born to
the late Mr.Walter Beal Sr. and to the late Mrs. Ernestine Fayson. Although
Barbara’s mother transitioned very early in her life, she and her siblings were
blessed to have been raised by their grandmother Lula B. White.
Barbara was united in Matrimony to the late Rudy Walker, which was shortly
lived due to a tragic accident. The union was blessed with two sons.
Barbar Walker retired as an employee of the Highlands County School Board.
She was an Assistant Manager at EO Douglas and a Manager at Sebring High
School for a total of 45 year.
On March 22, 2024 Barbara Walker peacefully transitioned to be with her
Heavenly Father.
Barbara carried such a beautiful smile and loving heart. She was very outgoing,
outspoken and didn’t mind stating her opinion. Barbara extended herself by
taking on the responsibilities of other family members and the community
where she could.
Dedicated and committed to serve. Barbara was an active member of First
Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served in several ministries.
For many years she assisted the late Robert Saffold Sr. with his annual
Christmas giveaway and other activities. She was also a member of the
NAACP. Barbara volunteered at Highlands Regional Hospital and Heartland
Christian Academy. She was a great pillar.
Barbara loved everyone. She would always go that extra mile to make sure
you were happy. She would feed everybody even if she had to cook twice a
day. Barbara enjoyed nothing more than making sure her Trinitee was fine in
every way. She was not afraid to talk about God. Barbara wanted everyone to
have their soul’s were right to be with the lord.
The memories of Barbara’s life will forever be cherished in the hearts of
her loving children: Stanley Walker, Ronald (Christina) Walker Sr.; Sisters:

Walker, Xavier (Latonya) Wilkerson, Eboni Walker; Great-Grandkids:
Essence Cummings, Trinitee Cummings, Ronald Walker III, Rondo Walker,
Messiah Walker, Mariah Walker, Salamon Evans, Donald Nappier, Xavion
Wilkerson, Zayden Wilkerson, Zhi’Nique Wilkerson, Zoiee Wilkerson. God
kids: De’Asha Mathis, Aubryana Davis, Joseph Mathis. Agreat host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
