Mrs. Glenda Mason was raised by her eldest Sister Mother Jearlene Casteal from the young age of 6 years old until adulthood. Their Mother passed leaving three young children behind. They lived in Alpine, FL for some time then they transitioned back to their place of birth in North, South Carolina. They shared a mother/daughter relationship that was stronger than we knew as Mother Jearlene Casteal passed only 9 hours later September 3, 2023.
Mrs. Glenda Mason career started at the local Crate building Mill where she worked for over 20 years and then moved into working at Royal Care of Avon Park Rehabilitation & Nursing. After retiring she became a caregiver for many.

To know Mrs. Glenda Mason was to love her, she was very direct, and she made sure you heard her when she spoke. She cared deeply for her family, she would make sure they had everything needed and would call them daily to check-in. She was one of the Original Jackson Sisters in that kitchen and loved to cook and feed everyone. Our family reunions, holidays and get-togethers were always filled with love and food. Mrs. Glenda cooked for her house and made dishes for her sisters’ and friends’ home all the time. She was known for her potato salad within the family, this was her signature dish, and it will not be replicated or duplicated.

Mrs. Glenda Mason won her battle and now she’s at peace with the Father. We will miss you and all the laughs and conversations you gave us. You had your own dictionary, and we understood every word you spoke! Rest well Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Auntie, Cousin, and Friend.

Rest “Easy like Sunday Morning” Auntie!
