Thank you for taking the time to honor my incredible
mother, Gloria Jean Daniels. As her only son, I had the
privilege of knowing her in a way that few people did. To
say that I miss her is an understatement. My heart aches in
a way I can’t fully express. I want to share just a fraction of
the beautiful life she lived, the immense love she gave, and
the powerful legacy she leaves behind.
My mom was an extraordinary woman. She was a mother,
a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a friend, and a child of
God. But most of all, she was my rock. From the very
moment I entered this world, she gave me her all. She
raised me as a single mother, and every single day, she
showed me what it means to love selflessly, to work
tirelessly, and to live faithfully.
Through all the challenges life threw her way, she never
once let me feel unloved or unsupported. In fact, no matter
how difficult things were, she always made me feel like the
most important person in the world. She sacrificed for me
in ways that I can never truly repay, but what she gave me
in love, guidance, and wisdom will forever be with me. She
was my teacher, my protector, and my constant source of
encouragement. She was my friend.
Her faith in God was the foundation of everything she did.
She taught me that no matter how hard life gets, we are
never alone. She would pray with me through every trial,
every heartache, and every joy. Her faith was a living
testament to the love of Christ. She didn’t just talk about
her faith; she lived it out every single day, showing us all
what it meant to love others as Christ loved us.
In addition to being the best mother anyone could ever ask
for; She was also a wonderful grandmother. Her love for
her one and only grandson Zachary was immeasurable. I
will never forget the way her face would light up every
time she saw or even spoke with him. Her joy was
boundless, and her pride in him was evident in everything
she did. To see her with him was to see a woman who had
lived a life full of love and grace, and who continued to
give that love in abundance.
One of the greatest gifts my mom gave me was an example
of how to live with strength and grace. She taught me that
life is about more than just surviving—it’s about trusting in
God’s plan, living with purpose, and always striving to be
kind, generous, and loving. She showed me how to be a
man of faith, and even now, as I face the deep pain of my
loss. I know that her example will continue to guide me.
I miss her so much. I miss her voice, her laughter, the way
she would always know what to say when I needed it most.
I miss her prayers, her quiet wisdom, and the comfort she
brought just by being nearby. But I also take comfort in
knowing that, because of her faith, I will see her again
one day. She is with our Heavenly Father now, where there
is no more pain, no more suffering, and no more tears.
Mom, you were everything to me. You gave me the tools I
needed to navigate life, and you taught me how to love
deeply and without hesitation. The hole you leave in my
heart is impossible to fill, but I will carry your love, your
faith, and your legacy with me for the rest of my days.
Thank you for being the most incredible mother and
grandmother. Thank you for the countless sacrifices you
made, for the unending love you gave, and for the faith you
instilled in me.
I will always love you. I miss you more than words can say,
but I know you’re in a better place, and I take comfort in
that. I will continue to honor your memory, living the life
you taught me to live, and I’ll keep you in my heart until
the day we are reunited.
Rest in peace, Mom. You are deeply loved, and you will
NEVER be forgotten.
