Marilyn Louise Jones was born on July 29, 1934 in Americas, Georgia to the late Willie Jackson Sr. and Savannah Bolden Jackson. She attended Jewett High School in Winter Haven, Florida.
She was affectionally known as Louise or Lou by family and friends.
She was a loving mother and As the Matriarch of 5 generations she taught us to love each other and love the Lord. Family meant everything to her.
She relocated to Sebring, Florida in 1965 to work for Walter and Bobbie Harshman. She also assisted with childcare and loved every member of their family as her own. She also worked for Linda and Emmit. She looked forward to the calls and visits long after she stopped working for them. Their relationship continued until her death.
She also worked for the Palms of Sebring as a cook. Marilyn was known for her dedication and excellent skills as a cook. Cooking was one of her greatest loves. Her kitchen was open to anyone who needed or wanted something to eat. It gave her great joy to feed anyone and everyone.
Mother Jones attended Victory Temple COGBF under Elder Moses Anderson Sr. She was one of the founding members of the church. Her faith and trust in God were immeasurable. She was an avid reader and the Bible was her favorite book. She was known to minister to everyone she encountered about the Lord Jesus Christ. Her opening line was, "Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior?" She witnessed to every soul she encountered including people in Wal-Mart, the bank, and even on the street. She had a generous soul and she wanted to give something to everyone, she was known as a "Giver."
