Mary Alice Service

The late Sister Mary Alice Service was born in Metter, Georgia to Gordy Robinson Sr. and Mary Lee Robinson. In 1957, Mary Alice and her family moved to Florida and settled in Lake Placid. She attended E.O. Douglas High School. She was a caregiver for her father, Gordy Robinson, Sr. until he passed. She worked in agriculture for several years. Shortly thereafter, Mary Alice began working at Lake Placid Family Restaurant "The Truck Stop" until she retired. 
Mary Alice married Wellington Service on August 30, 1982. They were married 40 
years. 
Mary Alice loved the Lord. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in October of 1980 at Glorious Community Holiness Church of Jesus of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. Mary Alice was a faithful member of Glorious Community Holiness Church of Jesus of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. until her passing on July 1, 2023. 
Sister Mary Alice Service is preceded in death by her father and mother, Gordy Robinson, Sr., and Mary Lee Robinson; her sisters, Quida Bell Ellis and Lillie Mae Maddox; her brothers, Charlie Robinson, Henry Robinson, and Roosevelt 
Robinson. 
She leaves to cherish her love and memories: her husband, Wellington Service; three brothers, Gordy Robinson Jr. (Brenda), Daniel Robinson Sr. (Mary), Frank 
Robinson (Juanita); her sons, Alexander Robinson (Samantha), Freddie Lamb, Steve Service (Shelly); her daughters, Dorothy Nelson (Lenford) and Cynthia Gilchrist; her grandchildren, Alexandria, l'Eshenay, Alexander, Victoria, James, Jenniffer, Jessica, Sonia, Ricky, Stephen, Joshua, Rehanna, Michael, Lawrence; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; and a good friend and neighbor, Verlie Walton.
