Mary Lou, a God-fearing, loving, kind, and compassionate soul, was born on August 20, 1942, in Lake Placid, Florida, and peacefully departed this life in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones on March 7, 2026.
Mary Lou was the cherished daughter of the late Albert Wilson Sr. and Annie Mae Wilson. She lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for her family and community.
Mary Lou was the devoted and loving wife of Elliott Wyche Sr., with whom she shared 65 beautiful years of marriage. Their union was a true example of commitment, faith, patience, and unconditional love. Together they built a strong foundation of family and faith that continues to live on through generations.
Mary Lou retired from LPMS (Lake Placid Middle School) after 25 years of dedicated service, where she was known and loved as one of the best cafeteria cooks and bakers around. Through her meals and warm spirit, she touched the lives of countless students, faculty, and staff.
A faithful servant of the Lord, Mary Lou was a devoted missionary at The New Covenant Holiness Deliverance Church. Her life reflected her strong faith, as she faithfully served God and encouraged others through prayer, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving husband of 65 years, Elliott Wyche Sr.; her children, Tony Allen Wyche, Elliott Wyche Jr., Bobby Wyche, Christopher Wyche, Delphine Wyche Roman, and Laverne Wyche. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Anton Wyche.
She also leaves her dear siblings: Calvin Wilson, Wilma Wilson Chisolm, Worthy Wilson, and Beulah Wilson Sholtz. She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Wilson Jr.
Her legacy continues through her 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church family, and dear friends. She also shared a special lifelong friendship with her best friend, Juanita Hawthorne.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
