Robert Blount was the son
of the late George & Clara
Blount. He was born January
4, 1948 in Creswell, NC.
He lived a life full of warmth,
kindness, and a genuine desire
to make the world a better
place. A man with a heart of
gold and a contagious laugh.
Robert will be remembered for
his quick wit and wonderful
sense of humor; always leaving
those around him with a smile.
His passing leaves a deep void, but his memory will
continue to inspire.
He was united in marriage to Geneva Blount in
1982. Robert was a shining light in the lives of all
who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey
on this earth was one marked by love, compassion,
and unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a
void in the hearts of his family, friends, and others
whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you
remember him not for the way his life ended, but
for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact
it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of
knowing him.
He was preceded in death by parents George &
Clara Blount: two brothers: Edward and Johnny
Blount and sister: Vera Spencer.
Left to cherish her memories, four sons, Shawn Blount
(Tracy) of Sebring, FL., Sammie L. Jamison (Vanessa)
of Santee, SC, Jerome Blount (Valarie) of Hinesville,
GA., Sammie A. Jamison (Lindsey) of Sebring, FL.:
two daughters: Rochelle Blount of Atlanta, GA., and
Shauntae Blount of Orlando, FL.: four sisters: Clara
Belle Sawyer (William) of Creswell, NC., Faye Blount
of Roper, NC., Lourie Blount of Greenville, NC., and
Delisa Johnson (Eric) of Plymouth, NC.: one brother-in-
law: Wilson Johnson (Latifa) of Santee, SC.: twenty nine
grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, a host of
cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The bond with my Pops was like no other. Losing him
feels like losing a part of myself. Even in his absence, his
love will continue to guide me.
I will always love you Pops, Lil Sammie
