Born on September 28th, 1982, in Asheville, NC, Wilney was a beacon of compassion, love, laughter and faith throughout his 41 years until January 6th, 2024, in Sebring, FL surrounded in love. Wilney’s journey was one marked by an unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of those around him.

Wilney’s educational path was as inspiring as his character. After graduating from Hardee Senior High in 2002, he pursued a career that showcased his inherent desire to care for others. He obtained his LPN, RN, and B.S.N from South Florida State College and was fearlessly working towards his Doctoral degree at Advent Health University. His commitment to expanding his knowledge was only matched by his dedication to applying it, as he became a pillar in the nursing field for over 18 years. Wilney’s work ethic served as a testament to his passion for healing and his unwavering dedication to the well-being of those around him.

Family was the cornerstone of Wilney’s life. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Carole Pierre Francois and their children; Wilney T. Francois Jr., Cameron J. Francois, Amayah K. Francois, his brother Joseph Fleurimond and other siblings, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Armonise Francois. Each moment he spent with them was infused with love, laughter, and lessons that will resonate throughout their lives. Wilney was not just the head of his household, but its heart, fueling it with an unwavering love that nurtured everyone’s growth.

Wilney had the rare ability to light up a room with his presence, a trait that extended beyond his immediate family to his wider circle. Friends and strangers alike were drawn to his warmth and humor. His charisma was paired with a deep-seated wisdom that made each encounter with him a lesson in living life to the fullest. He not only practiced what he preached but shared it generously, uplifting countless lives as an inspiration. His laughter was infectious, his counsel wise, hence, he became a source of strength and enlightenment in his workplace and beyond, self-proclaimed Medicine Man.

Wilney found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a passionate traveler- suitcase in hand, recruiting friends to his next adventure to seek experiences that broadened his horizons and deepened his appreciation of the world. Additionally, he was a dedicated fitness enthusiast and had a keen eye for home renovations, showcasing his talents, leaving behind a legacy.
